NOPE

The First Date

This story begins with a blind date. After the bride was done teaching a hip hop exercise dance class a nervous bridesmaid approached the bride and asked her if she was single and if she would go on a blind date. The bride was taken aback since this was not the questions she was use to receiving after class, but quickly answered, “Yes I am and yes I would.” December 23rd 2011, (who goes on a first date TWO days before Christmas!?) the bride and the groom meet for the first time and were chauffeured to a wonderful dinner and comedy show by the best man and aforementioned bridesmaid. And so began the journey …

The Proposal

Fast forward one thousand three hundred and twenty eight days. The groom took the bride on a trip to Toronto. After a dinner cruise on Lake Ontario and some dancing. The bride thought the highlight of the night was when a little boy from Germany told her that he was trying to copy the bride and groom’s dancing all night and that he loved to dance. But shortly after disembarking from the ship, the groom pulled the bride in for a selfie in front of CN Tower. But it was a ruse! After snapping the picture, the app began flipping through many pictures the two had shared since that first cold date two days before Christmas to the selfie they had just taken. Then came the question, “Lisa Liebentritt, will you marry me?” A giant YES button was sitting right below the text and way off in the corner almost to small to see was a tiny little no. The bride tapped the YES and there was much celebrating. You can see some of those pictures just to the right and if you want to see them all just ask the bride, she will gladly show you the app.
